Director James Coffield steps down after 25 years

Leadership, Vision highlights Director James Coffield’s 25 Year Tenure

May 4, 2012 (Bowie, TX) – After 25 years of service to Legend Bank, James Coffield has stepped down this past April from the Legend Bank and Legend Bancorp Board of Directors. Since his appointment to the Board in 1987, Mr. Coffield has been a large contributor to Legend Bank’s strategic direction during a time when the Bank has seen an exceptional period of growth.

James Coffield has provided consistent leadership and vision for Legend Bank and Legend Bancorp during his 25 year tenure on the Board. Mr. Coffield was instrumental in helping implement a growth strategy that grew the bank from 1 branch to 8 branches. During his time on the board, Legend Bank grew from $100 million in assets to nearly $600 million. Legend Bank Chairman, Steve Hamilton, greatly appreciated and respected Mr. Coffield’s role on the Board. “James has always been a seasoned voice in the board room and was never afraid to say the things that needed to be said. He thoughtfully and deliberately considered all issues before the board,” said Hamilton.
